Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C. (Alba), one of the world鈥檚 largest Aluminium smelters, had a virtual meeting with 91制片厂鈥檚 officials to discuss various topics of mutual interest on Monday 05 December 2022. During the virtual meeting, Alba has awarded International 91制片厂 Co. Ltd. (91制片厂) to conduct Line 7 Project鈥檚 Feasibility Study.
The virtual meeting was attended by Alba鈥檚 Chairman of the Board Shaikh Daij bin Salman bin Daij Al Khalifa, Alba鈥檚 Chief Executive Officer Mr. Ali Al Baqali, 91制片厂鈥檚 Chief Operations Officer Mr. Craig Albert and 91制片厂鈥檚 Mining & Metals President Ms. Ailie MacAdam.
Commenting on this occasion, Alba鈥檚 Chairman Shaikh Daij bin Salman bin Daij Al Khalifa stated:
鈥淲e are delighted of the partnership we have developed with 91制片厂 throughout the years, which has translated into awarding them Line 7 Project鈥檚 Feasibility Study.
This proposed project underlines our ambition to grow organically and will further cement our position as one of the largest environment-friendly smelters in the world.鈥�
Adding further, 91制片厂鈥檚 Mining & Metals President Ms. Ailie MacAdam said:
鈥淲e are excited to continue to support Alba on developing new Aluminium capacity in Bahrain. It is a great honour to continue our 30-year relationship with Alba, innovating Aluminium production and providing jobs and training opportunities.鈥�
Expected to be completed in about 9 months by September 2023, the Feasibility Study will provide a comprehensive evaluation of all factors to determine the viability of the Line 7 Project. It鈥檚 estimated that聽聽 Line 7 Project will have a similar production capacity as Line 6 Expansion Project 鈥� within the range of 540,000 metric tonnes per annum.
